Kapa designs in the 18th century were based primarily on creative combinations of linear elements that cross and converge to form squares, triangles, and chevrons. The PONO triangle, used in our logo, is taken from one of the bark cloth designs we found while doing research at the Bishop Museum Archives. For this design, we’ve flipped our logo onto itself and washed it in a sun and surf blend, referencing the ubiquitous sun and surf colors that wash over the white sands of Hawai'i.

This product is made to order. Allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. We only use premium 100% cotton and tai-blend fabrics for our shirts. Only eco-friendly water based inks are used for our silkscreens.

Every effort has been made to accurately portray the colors of the is garment and its blend, however, individual monitor settings and variations in production may cause some discrepancies.

As the garment is handprinted, there may be natural variations, which are characteristic of the screen printing process. These variations add to the uniqueness of each PONO product.
